Community Engagement

Our focus on the community is a staple of how we run our business. And while it starts with best practices in real estate development, it goes beyond this to where people live and work. We actively engage with, support, and provide leadership for a number of charitable organizations and causes. Our team is actively involved and commits their time to organizations that are important to the community and close to their hearts.

Pat Connaughton Foundation

Sports teach kids lessons that resonate with them long after their playing days are over. They learn translatable life skills such as hard work, teamwork, leadership, accountability, anddiscipline. Most importantly, they have fun. For these reasons, the Pat Connaughton Foundation is committed to making sports accessible to student athletes across the world. To date, the Pat Connaughton Foundation has held 31 clinics and built/refurbished 33 basketball courts with more planned/underway. Breakthrough T1D

Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) works to find better treatments, preventions, and ultimately a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and its complications through critical research. This cause is near and dear to our President, John Ford, as his son Carson was diagnosed with T1D at 13 months old. Since 2019, John has physically challenged himself each year to raise money for JDRF. Through events like walking/running for 24 hours straight, running 5 miles every day for a month, walking 100,000 steps in one day, and biking 200 miles – John has raised over $135k for JDRF! Wisconsin Lutheran High School

Wisconsin Lutheran High School was facing a growing challenge in securing host families for its international students, limiting the number of students who could attend and fully engage in campus life. In partnership with the school, TLP helped create Honey Creek Apartments right on campus. This initiative has allowed 100+ students to attend WLHS, contributing to over 70 baptisms in four years and supporting the school’s growth from 720 to more than 930 students. By addressing a critical housing need, Honey Creek Apartments helps strengthen the school’s faith-based mission, academic excellence, and sense of community.
